Business Services Account Manager And Apprenticeship Navigator

This dual-role position serves as both a Business Services Account Manager and Apprenticeship Navigator for CareerSource Okaloosa Walton. The incumbent is responsible for connecting employers with workforce solutions and Registered Apprenticeship Programs (RAPs), supporting both job seekers and businesses. This position strengthens the local workforce system by facilitating partnerships, promoting available services, and executing outreach, development, and implementation strategies for RAPs and broader employment initiatives.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Business Services Account Manager (50%)

  • Serve as a key liaison between CareerSource and local employers to identify workforce needs and promote available resources.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with business and community stakeholders.
  • Assist with planning and implementing Business Services marketing strategies and outreach materials.
  • Promote employer services including recruiting, screening, job postings, hiring events, and training programs.
  • Create and manage job orders, employer registrations, and on-site / off-site hiring fairs via Employ Florida Marketplace.
  • Support businesses experiencing layoffs or workforce reductions, offering rapid response and transition services.
  • Collect, analyze, and report labor market data, trends, forecasts, and performance metrics.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of employer engagement and services in Employ Florida, ATLAS, and related systems.
  • Represent CareerSource at local meetings, job fairs, and community events.
  • Maintain knowledge of current workforce development legislation, policies, and regulations.
  • Provide support for other CareerSource functions as needed (e.g., front desk, workshops, job seeker services).
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local program requirements.

Apprenticeship Navigator (50%)

  • Collaborate with the Florida Department of Education Apprenticeship Training Representatives to develop and expand Registered Apprenticeship Programs (RAPs) and pre-apprenticeship pathways.
  • Convene employers, education providers, and workforce partners to promote apprenticeship opportunities in priority industry sectors.
  • Provide technical assistance to employers and stakeholders on creating, registering, and managing RAPs.
  • Educate internal staff and external stakeholders on the structure, benefits, and funding streams of RAPs.
  • Compile and maintain an inventory of local and regional apprenticeship programs and employers actively recruiting apprentices.
  • Facilitate connections between job seekers and apprenticeship opportunities using resources such as Salesforce, the CareerSource Florida brand portal, and
