Job description

A leading, globally recognized food company is seeking a motivated and experienced Temporary Accounts Receivable, Credit, and Collections Specialist to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to leverage your expertise in a dynamic, high-volume environment. Required Skills & Experience

  • Education : A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is required. A 2-year degree in a related field with relevant experience may be considered, but a 4-year degree is strongly preferred.
  • Experience : 3+ years of progressive experience in accounts receivable, collections, and credit management.
  • Core Competencies :

Understanding of intermediate accounting principles.

  • Demonstrated ability to research, analyze, and resolve complex financial problems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams).
  • Ability to support cross-functional teams, including Invoicing and Trade.
  • Preferred Skills

  • Working knowledge of SAP (System Applications and Products).
  • Experience with SAP 4 Hana.
  • Familiarity with the collections and credit software HighRadius.
  • salary : $23 - $33 per hour

    Responsibilities

    Accounts Receivable and Governance :

  • Ensure the Accounts Receivable (AR) team follows established policies and procedures, providing governance and constructive feedback based on data analysis.
  • Prepare reporting metrics for the AR team for monthly close.
  • Manage the functionality of customer-specific rules within our collection software ($\ext$), creating tickets when needed.
  • Approve customer reimbursements for credit balances (within set limits) and handle necessary transaction reversals.
  • Play a key role in the month-end close process for Accounts Receivable.
  • Credit and Collections :

  • Assign and monitor credit risk for new and existing key customers, including assessing country risk for international accounts.
  • Act as the escalation point for the shared services organization ($\ext$) to resolve complex aged items by researching issues across various functional areas.
  • Monitor key customer balances, collect credit intelligence, and take appropriate action.
  • Identify, resolve, and document issues on customer accounts.
  • Review and release orders for key and international customers (may require occasional support outside of normal business hours).
  • Manage negotiable payment instruments and provide direct support to the $\ext$ team.
