Director of Networking - Telecommunications

As a Network Design and Architecture Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of optical communications technology. They are currently seeking a highly skilled Network Design and Architecture Engineer to lead and manage innovative technical projects from conception to completion. You will be responsible for defining project requirements, overseeing system architecture, and ensuring the development team meets design goals. This role requires a deep understanding of coherent optical modem concepts, Ethernet and OTN framing, and optical network architectures.

Responsibilities

Plan and manage technical projects, addressing complex challenges and driving solutions that deliver significant business value.

Define requirements for the next-generation optical modem and translate them into technical specifications.

Develop system architecture, evaluating enabling technologies for both hardware and software components.

Oversee the development team\'s progress to ensure consistency with the initial design and project goals.

Create technical documentation supporting product development, including detailed system requirements.

Engage with industry partners and customers through technical presentations and understanding their requirements.

Bridge the gap between customer needs, software development, and hardware capabilities.

Serve as a role model and mentor within the technical community of the company.

Skills / Must have

Solid experience in product definition and development roles, with a focus on coherent optical modem concepts and optical network architectures.

Proficiency in Ethernet and OTN framing, with an understanding of system design principles and methodologies related to optical technologies.

Leadership capabilities with a strong aptitude for team-oriented development activities.

Excellent communication skills, including public speaking and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Strong written communication skills for collaboration in a multi-site environment.

Familiarity with hardware and embedded software design concepts.

Knowledge of optical coherent modem building blocks such as ADC/DAC, DSP, and modulators.

Understanding of optical communications principles.

Salary

$150,000 Basic Salary Per Annum

20% Bonus
