Job Description
Supports new loans to Commercial and Consumer Loan Officers and Loan Assistants. Accurately enters loan data in Laser Pro to produce loan documents. Ensures that loan files contain the proper documents and relevant data. Performs document imaging into Accu Systems.
Conducts relationships and activities consistent with established Bank policies, procedures and systems, the corporate code of conduct, Bank Secrecy Act, RESPA, and all applicable state and federal laws and regulations. Provides accurate, friendly, and professional service to Bank customers by processing loan transactions. Performs various loan operations functions including processing required daily and monthly reports, tracking and filing collateral, and handling customer credit disputes.
Essential Duties and Accountabilities: Performs various imaging duties, such as scanning, verifying the quality of scanned documents, correcting, indexing, and cross referencing. Scans appropriate documents to existing files to clear loan exceptions. Provides additional clerical support, including photocopying records, writing correspondence, answering telephones, and sorting and distributing mail.
Processes all credit report disputes by verifying information on the account and submitting any changes. Files and tracks all collateral. Tracks document retention using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access. Enters ticklers in banking system to ensure that all necessary fees are collected when a loan is paid off (legal fees, force-placed flood fees, etc.). Calculates principal and interest for participation payments and processes payment by wire to participating bank.
Communicates with officers and assistants to collect the information needed to create a loan. Informs Loan Officer, Loan Assistant, customer, and settlement agent of any errors, changes, and information that may be needed. Inputs and updates loan data in Laser Pro Performs checkbacks of loan booking, assembles and verifies loan documents for accuracy Ensures credit memorandums are complete for proper data entry. Completes and submits daily and monthly Small Business Administration (SBA) reporting including the 1502 report.
Verifies information follows state and federal laws and bank policies / procedures. Attends all required training. Reviews all processed loans for accuracy, technical exceptions, and adherence to policies, laws, and regulations; reports exceptions to Loan Operations Manager.
Coordinates timely delivery of closing documents with branch, officer, and settlement agent. Prioritizes processing requests to ensure all loans are processed correctly and timely. Prepares proper pre-disclosure packets sent to loan officers and staff, rate guidelines and procedures, documentation requirements, and procedures training. Responds to internal and external inquiries regarding the status of new loans when questions arise regarding loan documents, regulations, and approvals.
Assists others in the department as needed and/or directed. Assist others in the department or facility as needed and/or directed. Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent • 2-3 years related experience strongly preferred • Understanding of financial institution products and services • Familiarity with and ability to understand lending terminology and documents • Knowledge of bank accounts and services, policies and procedures, and regulations preferred • Experience with banking software specifically Laser Pro preferred Computer and Equipment Skills • Experienced in Internet software, Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software.
• Experience with lending software (including Laser Pro) is preferred, but not required • Knowledge of office equipment including computers, calculators/adding machines, telephones, voice mail, electronic typewriters, copy machines, and fax machines • Knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software preferred • Experience with banking software preferred Communication Skills
