About The Position

Description :
Flu vaccination is required.
This position is in the ICU Float Pool and may require floating to various units when needed.
Must be able to float to overflow PACU and other medical-surgical / telemetry units and stepdown areas.
Contracts available with start dates in November.
Maximum of 7 days for requested time off.
No time off is permitted within the first 2 weeks of the assignment.
Must be available to work 3 out of 5 holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day.
Shift hours are from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30.
36 or 48-hour work weeks are available.
An EKG exam will be administered on the first day of orientation and must be passed to proceed with the contract.
Previous experience in critical care is required.
Candidates must have experience with PA lines as this will be assessed during the phone interview.
First-time travelers are accepted with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
Experience in a large hospital setting is preferred.
Preferred certifications : CCRN.
Preferred skills include charge experience and Level I Trauma experience.
The ICU Float Pool consists of multiple units with various patient populations.
The preferred candidate would have exposure to transplant patients.
Additional diagnostic criteria may apply based on assigned units.
The patient demographic includes adults and geriatrics.
Each adult ICU has a total of 24 beds.
Interdisciplinary support is available in multiple areas including IV teams, therapy services, and rapid response teams.
Candidates may float within the facility as needed.
This position requires a strong background in critical care nursing.
Candidates should be flexible and adaptable to various unit needs.
Previous employees must be gone for 24 months before being eligible for travel positions.
