As a Shop Welder, you will be at the forefront of crafting the steel skeleton that forms the backbone of our climbing structures. Collaborating with our design and fabrication teams, you will transform raw materials into solid, precision-welded components that guarantee safety, durability, and aesthetic appeal.

Some Travel Required to assist with wall installation projects across the U.S.

Primary and Essential Functions

• Read plans and design drawings to fabricate metal using techniques such as welding, shearing, and sawing ;
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), general directions, quality-control programs and safety requirements for all production operations;
• Handles tools of various types including heavy machinery;
• Examine completed work for defects, and measure pieces with straightedges and templates to ensure conformance with specifications; report nonconforming material to Shop Foreman for quality assurance ;
• Load and unload materials;
• Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures;
• Report all unsafe activities to manager;
• Use lean concepts for individual tasks;
• General labor work (e.g. Sweep, clean up job site, run errands, use hammer and saw, demolition, etc.)
• Keep a clean, organized working environment and assist in maintaining machinery and tools;
• Additional duties may be assigned in various functions of Vertical Solutions.
