Job Summary :

Monitor patients with implanted cardiac devices and perform a variety of diagnostic procedures, analyses and evaluations through remote monitoring and at clinic settings

Job Description :

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Enroll patients in remote monitoring of devices; educate patients about devices
• Schedule and monitor device remote transmissions; monitor alerts received from devices and notify patients of significant results and to schedule an appointment with physicians
• Evaluate device programming and proper functioning including batteries and wires / leads; monitor device battery life and voltage
• Program / reprogram devices as needed; identify and address device malfunctions
• Provide care for the physical needs of patients including wound care for newly implanted devices, staple / suture removal
• Notify physicians regarding significant findings / results including irregular heart rhythms
• Complete and upload / scan reports to patients' electronic medical record
• Order devices, supplies and educational materials for the clinic or to be sent to patients' homes
• Establish and maintain productive working relationships with people inside and outside the department and / or practice
