Job Description
The Housekeeping Dispatcher is responsible for clerical and other duties to assist in the day-to-day operations of the Housekeeping department. They are also responsible for providing attentive, courteous and efficient service to all external and internal guests.
The Housekeeping Dispatcher :
- Prepares & distributes opening Guest Room Attendant, Inspectors, and Houseperson boards on a timely manner.
- Supports Housekeeping and Laundry projects as needed.
- Is responsible for managing Out of Order & Deep Clean / MRT inventory.
- Prepares special requests and amenities as required for VIP guest.
- Responsible for maintaining and updating Housekeeping reports as assigned.
- Maintains well documented, accurate, organized and up-to-date file management in order to serve in the most expedient, organized and knowledgeable manner.
- Develops strong customer relationships through appropriate guest communication and the use of professional, courteous and ethical interpersonal interaction.
- Works with Housekeeping and Laundry personnel to achieve required guest service team goals.
- Is responsible for effectively communicating with the various departments to ensure the guest room cleanliness, condition, and availability are executed to expectations.
- Performs any other duties as requested by supervisor.
- Answer telephone and radio in a timely and accurate manner.
- Manages adequate inventory of office supplies and processed purchase orders as directed.
- Manages LMS and HotSOS as required.
- Works closely with pest elimination vendor to maintain room status as needed.
Qualifications
Computer skills required.Strong administrative skill set and ability to handle a full workload.Experience with HotSOS or LMS preferred.Possesses clear and concise written and communication skills.Professional, polished verbal presentation skills.Proven time management and organization skills.Ability to sustain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with issues.Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.Ability to operate telephones, radios, fax, copier, printer, and all other required.Highly organized and detail oriented.Must be flexible with availability.Must be at least 18 years of age.Must be able to obtain and maintain all licenses / certification per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.The skills and abilities necessary for this position are typically acquired through the completion of a high school education or equivalent, 1 year experience in a related and / or equivalent Housekeeping or Administrative position, and / or two months of on-the-job training.
