About the Role :

  • Mollie Stone’s Markets is looking for a Full-Time Wine and Spirits Manager-Head Clerk in our San Francisco- Grand Central location. The perfect candidate must have passion and experience in wine and specialty spirits as well as a desire to develop their product knowledge to provide a tailored shopping experience for all customers.  The perfect candidate will not only have a love of wine and spirits but have a passion for food and groceries.
  • Local candidates only.

    • Essential Functions :

  • Assist customers with questions while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Remain current and continually expand knowledge of wine and spirits to inform and educate our guests as well as give suggestions and pairing ideas with food.
  • Merchandise and maintain correct signage throughout the department.
  • Oversee the processing and stocking of new shipments.
  • Inventory control.
  • Transporting merchandise from storage areas and sales floor.
  • Assist in other departments if needed and cashiering.

    • Minimum Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail with a focus on wine / spirits Previous experience in grocery in a supervisory role.
  • Previous cash handling skills a plus.

    • Competencies :

  • Ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Self-motivated and energetic.
  • Available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
  • Ability to develop product knowledge and stay current.

    • Travel Requirements :

  • Independent and reliable local travel up to 50% of the time.   Physical Requirements : Must be able to regularly lift at least 50 lbs.

    • Standing :

  • Up to 8 hours per day.

    • Walking :

  • Up to 8 hours per day.

    • Reaching :

  • Up to 4 hours per day.
