Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist experienced in both CT and X-ray imaging for an acute care setting with rotating day and night shifts.
Responsibilities
Position is in an acute care hospital department covering CT and X-rayImaging coverage includes ambulatory, clinic, outpatient, inpatient, ER, and OR settings with a variety of cases including trauma and strokeProcedures performed include CTAs, trauma imaging, orthopedic joint imaging, and various x-raysExperience with Siemens 128 slice CT scanner, Siemens Ysio Xray, Siemens MIRA portable, GE OEC c-arm, and Hologic Mini-C is utilizedRequires use of Epic EMR and McKesson PACS10 hour rotating day and night shifts with call and holiday coverage as neededShifts may vary between 8, 10, or 12 hours depending on department needsFloating to cover radiology injections or biopsies may be required, with training providedWeekend coverage is typically every third or fourth weekendThe role may be busy and demanding with a high volume ER and clinicSupport from a director is available during the day and after hours for emergenciesA Radiology RN is available Mon–Fri; there is no RRA supportPositive attributes for this role include strong communication skills, willingness to learn, and the ability to work collaborativelyOne week of unit-specific orientation is providedHoliday and call coverage is assigned as needed based on staffingRequested time off must be included with initial application and additional requests will not be approvedScrub requirements are not specifiedRequirements
At least 1 year of experience in both CT and X-ray imaging is requiredActive ARRT(R) and BLS certifications are required; ARRT-CT certification preferredCurrent state license required if applicable; pending licenses or certifications will not be acceptedExperience with surgery C-arm in emergent cases is requiredKnowledge of and ability to perform CT and X-ray in multiple patient care settingsDriver's license copy is required for considerationTwo recent professional references are required : one supervisor reference from within the last 12 months, and one peer or supervisor reference from within the last 3 years, both with employment dates and rehire eligibilityCandidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility and not have been employed by any CommonSpirit-related facility (including CHI and Dignity) within the past yearBenefits
