We are seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our healthcare team. As an LVN, you will play a vital role in patient care within our medical clinic.
Location:
This position involves commuting to our McKinney location one day a week.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) License (Required): Candidates must hold an active LVN license.
- ACLS or BCLS Certification (Required): Applicants should possess either ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) or BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification.
- Minimum 2 Years of Experience in a Medical Clinic (Required): A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a medical clinic setting is required.
- Internal Medicine or Nephrology Clinic Experience (Strongly Preferred): While not mandatory, experience in Internal Medicine or Nephrology clinics is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:
- Clinic Rooming/Patient Assessment: Record patients' vital signs, medications and medical history.
- Exam Room Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and clinical areas.
- Lab Data Analysis: Analyze and report abnormal critical lab results to physicians promptly.
- Patient Communication: Effectively communicate lab and imaging results and provide instructions to patients as directed by providers..
- Prescription Refills/Prior Authorization: Authorize prescription refills as directed, including handling prior authorizations as required by insurance companies.
- New Patient Record Review: Review patient records, including lab and imaging results, to ensure timely scheduling based on urgency.
- Team Support: Provide cross-coverage for other nursing staff as needed to support clinic operations.
- Supply Management: Manages the inventory of medical supplies, oversees the ordering process, and implements cost-control measures.
