Ameritas is currently searching for an Assistant Actuary-Product Management . This position provides actuarial services to support our inforce life and annuity products. The incumbent is responsible for providing actionable information that enables good business decisions. Supports project initiatives regarding inforce business by collaborating with the life and annuity pricing teams, Financial Planning and Analysis, and Corporate Actuarial.

- This is a hybrid role working partially in-office and partially from home.
What you do :
Set up, test, and maintain actuarial models for life insurance profitability analysis, dividend scales for regulatory Closed Blocks, and illustrated scales under the Illustration RegulationEvaluate products with non-guaranteed elements against current anticipated experience factorsDevelop cross-functional partnerships to support business initiatives, including determination of actuarial assumptionsPerform stress testing and scenario analysis to support management's strategic decision makingManage risk while ensuring appropriate profitability levelsCompile and analyze data using statistical formulas and actuarial methodologiesMonitor compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures relevant to actuarial practices and reportingRespond to information requests from internal stakeholder (actuaries, accountants, auditors, management) and external parties, providing actuarial analysis as neededMaintain comprehensive documentation of actuarial analyses, methodologies, and assumptionsProvide guidance, training, and direction to junior actuarial associatesWhat you bring :
Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or quantitative fieldASA (Associate, Society of Actuaries) designationFSA (Fellow, Society of Actuaries) designation preferredMinimum of 3-5 years actuarial experience required, with focus on Life or annuity productsAdvanced knowledge of actuarial mathematics, and proficiency with spreadsheets and databasesIn-depth knowledge of financial and modeling software, with FIS Prophet experience preferredStrong technical writing and verbal communication skills, with ability to present concepts to various audiencesSuperior analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to learn new concepts quicklyExperience with data analytic tools (PowerBI or similar platforms) preferredWhat we offer :
