The Opportunity

Day Shift (Travel) must live 50 miles outside of Carlsbad, NM

Salary 1700.00-1900.00 Weekly

Travel Med Surg RN

Start : ASAP

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Days, 6 : 30a-7p, floating & call required

2+ years’ experience require BLS required

ACLS, PALS preferred

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a Med / Surg Telemetry unit.

Monitor and interpret patient vital signs and telemetry readings.

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.

Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.

Document patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records.

Evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary.

Educate patients and families on health conditions and post-discharge care.

Ensure compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations.

Maintain a safe and clean working environment for patients and staff.

Participate in continuous professional development and training opportunities.

Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care outcomes.

Assist in the orientation and training of new nursing staff.

Experience / Qualifications

Current RN license and BLS certification required.

Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Minimum of 2 years' experience in Med / Surg Telemetry unit.

Strong communication skills for patient education and team collaboration.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting telemetry data.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

Proven ability to document patient care accurately and efficiently.

Knowledge of hospital policies and healthcare regulations.

Experience in quality improvement initiatives.

Ability to mentor and train new nursing staff.
