Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) – Locum Tenens Opportunity | Level III NICU | Syracuse, NY
A respected Level III NICU in Syracuse, NY is seeking a skilled and experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to provide weekend locum tenens coverage starting mid-August 2025 . This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative team in a dynamic clinical environment—offering competitive compensation , paid travel and lodging , and full malpractice coverage .
🗓 Assignment Details :
- Start Date : Mid-August 2025
- Schedule : 12-hour and / or 24-hour weekend shifts
- Coverage Areas : Level III NICU + Well-Baby Nursery (nights only)
- Unit Size : 16-bed NICU
- Average Admissions : 0–2 per shift
- Average Census : 8–9 patients
- EMR : EPIC
🩺 Your Role Will Include :
Delivering high-quality, independent care in a Level III NICU settingAttending C-sections and neonatal deliveriesManaging ventilation , including ETT, CPAP, BiPAPPerforming procedures : UVC / UAC placement, lumbar punctures, chest tubes, diagnostic / therapeutic tapsSupervising NICU RNs and ancillary staff (no oversight of other NNPs)Collaborating with on-site neonatologists (daytime) and 24 / 7 call supportNo transport responsibilities—transfers handled by a nearby Level IV NICU1638868EXPTEMP
