Vermont Cider Company is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Quality Assurance (QA) Technician to join our dynamic 3rd shift team. The QA Technician's primary responsibility is to carry out the quality control lab testing for the production lines as well as the calibrating and setting up the lab equipment and ensuring results are recorded accurately on computer systems and data sheets. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Shift & Schedule : This position will support our 3rd shift team - Friday-Sunday, 5 : 00am to 5 : 30pm.

Wage : Hourly base wage plus applicable shift differential.

Areas of Responsibility include, but are not limited to, the following :

• Perform microbiological testing (aseptic techniques, enrichment, plating) on raw ingredients, in-process liquids, and finished products.
• Perform chemical technical and physical analyses on raw ingredients, packaging materials, in-process liquid, and finished products.
• Maintain and improve QC documentation with VHCC's internal data system.
• Set up tasting panels and trainings for sensory analysis program.
• Provide support in identifying critical control points within the plant and proposing solutions.
• Identify and escalate quality-related issues to management for resolution and process improvement.
• Conduct periodic internal QA audits.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.
• Generate standard operating procedures.
