Clinical Care Transformation Leader
Plays a leading role in the development and implementation of Clinical Care Transformation initiatives. Assesses, organizes, manages and evaluates the organization against strategic goals value-based care, cost, regulatory policy and results / outcomes. Initiatives include clinical improvement interventions, compliance with established and emerging regulatory payment models, unique shared savings programs and grants that support multiple and diverse transformation partners.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies, procedures, quality standards and safety standards. Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations.
- Manages and rationalizes the portfolio of Clinical Care Transformation projects, programs, organizations and clinical pathways to ensure strategic alignment, prioritization, risk balancing and implementation success.
- Establishes and supports a care transformation governance infrastructure to provide leadership and decision-making concerning programs with significant clinical, financial and policy implications.
- Seeks effective partnerships, opportunities and innovative strategies that support the triple aim; better care, healthier populations and smarter spending and departmental goals.
- Leads system-level projects related to care management and case management including project management, performance improvement, change management and data analysis.
- Represents MedStar Health in policy and regulatory forums.
- Liaises with internal and external stakeholders to build, maintain and strengthen partnerships and collaboratively manage transformation initiatives.
- Collaborates regularly with peers from Quality & Safety, Managed Care, Patient Financial Services and other groups as appropriate to ensure alignment on work to develop the clinical care transformation model.
- Enables rigorous data-driven decision-making and program evaluation.
- Participates in meetings and on committees and represents the department and hospital in community outreach efforts.
- Participates in multi-disciplinary quality and service improvement teams.
Minimal Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Healthcare Administration or relevant field requiredMaster's degree preferredExperience
5-7 years Experience in healthcare operations, delivery systems, health insurance, healthcare policy or managed care requiredLicenses and Certifications
Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)-PMI Clinical licensure Project Management Professional (PMP) Lean Six Sigma Certification preferredKnowledge Skills and Abilities
