Structural Designer

Structural Designer – Dothan, AL / Jacksonville, FL Contract-to-Direct | $38–$50/hr We have an immediate need for a Structural Designer to support industrial projects in Dothan, AL or Jacksonville, FL. This is a contract-to-direct opportunity, with the expectation of becoming permanent within 6 months. About the Role: As a Structural Designer, you will work on industrial projects involving concrete and steel, producing foundation drawings, rebar layouts, and other project-related design elements. You’ll work independently, collaborating with a small, skilled design team, and be responsible for translating field and conceptual information into detailed design drawings. Responsibilities: Design of industrial structures using AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Plant 3D Perform preliminary steel sizing and determine rebar spacing Develop foundation drawings and other project-specific design work Work independently while contributing to a collaborative design team Support projects primarily in the Pulp & Paper industry Required Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of structural design experience Proficiency in AutoCAD or AutoCAD Plant 3D Understanding of preliminary steel sizing and rebar spacing Industrial design experience with concrete or steel projects Preferred Qualifications: Experience designing concrete and steel industrial structures Ability to work from field-scanned drawings and independently produce detailed designs Additional Details: Work Hours: Minimum 40 hours/week Pay: $38–$50/hr, depending on experience and education; some OT available Locations: Dothan, AL or Jacksonville, FL Relocation: Open to relocation for the right candidate Team: Small, focused design team supporting multiple locations If you are a self-sufficient Structural Designer with industrial project experience and want to contribute to meaningful engineering projects, we’d like to hear from you.
