Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

A law firm seeks a mid-level or senior-level Real Estate Finance Associate or Counsel to join its New York office. The ideal candidate will have experience representing commercial and investment banks, debt funds, and other lenders in real estate finance transactions. This role offers an opportunity to work on complex financing deals, including securitization, syndication, and mezzanine loans. Experience representing commercial real estate developers, owners / operators, and borrowers is a plus.
Duties :
- Represent commercial and investment banks, debt funds, and other lenders in real estate finance transactions.
- Handle the securitization, syndication, and participation of commercial mortgage, construction, and mezzanine loans.
- Draft and negotiate loan agreements, security instruments, and related legal documentation.
- Advise clients on structured finance transactions and real estate investment strategies.
- Collaborate with borrowers, developers, and real estate owners / operators in structuring and closing deals.
- Conduct due diligence and manage the closing process for complex real estate finance transactions.
