Job description

Description :

A cardiovascular interventional radiographer assists physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures to help diagnose and treat heart and blood vessel diseases without surgery. Work with sophisticated fluoroscopic equipment to take images of the heart and the blood vessels surrounding it. Assist with procedures such as angioplasty, stenting, thrombolysis, embolization, ablation, and biopsies.

Duties and Responsibilities :

Adheres to AORN and AAMI Standards when working in the Operating Room and Sterile Processing.
Displays working knowledge of surgical procedures and equipment / supplies.
Follows department and hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Always maintains aseptic technique
Works collaboratively as a member of the surgical team

Required Qualifications :

Current ARRT certification, CV credential preferred

RCIS credential also considered in conjunction with minimum Interventional Radiology (IR) experience

Current State License to practice

Vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and / or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved)

Vaccinated for Influenza, seasonal
