About the Role
The CEO will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the school's operations, including educational excellence, legal compliance, strategic planning, financial management, community relations, and governance. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary spokesperson, advocate, and visionary, ensuring the school's mission and goals are achieved effectively and sustainably.
Key Responsibilities
- Educational Leadership : Implement high-quality, rigorous, and joyful academic programs aligned with the school's mission. Set ambitious goals for student achievement, oversee curriculum development, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Legal and Regulatory Compliance : Ensure adherence to all legal requirements and stay updated on relevant laws and regulations, including those from the Department of Education.
- Strategic Planning and Policy Development : Collaborate with the Board to define the school's vision, growth strategies, and long-term objectives. Oversee charter renewal processes and develop annual reports.
- Operational Management : Manage daily school operations, foster a respectful and safe environment, and coordinate with leadership teams to ensure organizational efficiency.
- Financial Oversight : Develop and monitor budgets, oversee fundraising efforts, and ensure financial sustainability through effective resource management.
- Community Engagement : Act as the school's chief advocate, building strong relationships within the community, promoting education reform, and representing the school publicly.
