Altabank, Division of Glacier Bank, is hiring a Mortgage Loan Originator in Spanish Fork. Duties and responsibilities include demonstrating strong interpersonal skills, providing exceptional service throughout the sales process, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to complete mortgage transactions. The role requires the ability to develop and maintain a personal business plan, including all aspects of loan originations from customer service, maintaining and building relationships, networking, marketing / prospecting, and knowledge of products and the industry. Compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control, is mandatory. Complete required bank training courses within assigned time frames, and adhere to Altabank Core Values. Participation in community service and bank-sponsored activities that support the mission and values of the Altabank is also a part of the role. Provide superior internal and external customer service, demonstrating self-governance, courtesy, and respect toward external and internal customers. Represent Altabank in a professional manner, which includes a professional image, confidentiality, a positive "can-do" attitude, good attendance, punctuality, flexibility, and adaptability in meeting bank and customer needs. Keep work area tidy and maintain customer privacy. Attend and participate in meetings as required. Regular and predictable attendance is required to accomplish in-person contact with customers. Duties can change.

Qualifications include two to five years of similar or related experience, a two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or equivalent combination of education and experience, and required 2-5 years of mortgage origination experience in conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, and Jumbo loans. Must have and maintain an NMLS ID number (S.A.F.E. Act Registration). Knowledge, skills, and abilities include excellent customer service skills, strong knowledge of conventional and government guidelines, strong problem solving, communication, and analytical skills, proficiency in Microsoft office applications, and the capability to interact calmly and professionally with a variety of people from diverse backgrounds at various levels within and outside of the organization.
