Purchasing Manager

Shift : Day Shift - 7 : 00 AM - 4 : 00 PM (Monday - Friday)
Position Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Manager to oversee our inventory management
process. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory levels, optimizing stock
control procedures, and ensuring that inventory records are accurate at all times. This role is
vital for supporting our production operations and meeting customer demands efficiently.
Job Responsibilities
- Inventory control : Manage and maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production
and customer requirements while minimizing excess stock.
Data Management : Ensure the accuracy and integrity of inventory records, conductingregular audits and reconciliation.
Forecasting : Collaborate with production and procurement teams to forecast inventoryneeds based on production schedules and market demand.
Process Optimization : Identify and implement improvements in inventory managementprocesses to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Reporting : Maintain accurate records via Odoo (ERP) to determine the physical accuracyof Inventory and assist with decision-making.
Collaboration : Work closely with warehouse and logistics team to coordinate timelydeliveries and resolve any inventory discrepancies.
Safety and Compliance : Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards ininventory handling and storage.
Improvement : Assist in continuous improvement throughout the entire warehouse asnecessary
Job Qualifications
Ability to gain a strong understanding of the Zev Technologies productline and their components
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in inventory management,preferably in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
Working knowledge of best practices related to count and trackingExceptional organizational and multitasking skillsAbility to Prioritize and Execute as a LeaderStrong Knowledge of Excel and Google SheetsHave exceptional attendance (be to work on time, and take breaks atallowed time)
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.Ability to work with employees across all levels of the organizationMeticulous attention to detail and ability to stay extremely organized in a fast-movingenvironment.
Ability to influence and adapt to change.Understanding of the inventory cycle from Purchasing to ShippingExperience working closely with purchasing, receiving, and shipping teams as it relatesto inventory is a plus.
Skills in leadership and personnel managementExcellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to apply skills both internallyand externally.
Understanding of basic safety and OSHA standardsSelf-motivated, proven ability to work independentlyRequiredAbility to lift up to 60 lbs. regularlyAvailability to work nights, weekends, and overtime as neededAbility to stand for several hours at a timeWork in a warehouse environmentLeadership Experience (3+ Years)Familiar with inventory methods (LIFO, FIFO)Inventory Control Experience (3+ Years)NOTE : This list presents only the principal duties of the position and is not intended to be
