Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable, energetic, detail-oriented Lot Technician / Vehicle Detailer to oversee the inventory of our truck lot. In this position, you will meet with transport trucks to help unload, log, and organize the trucks. You will also make sure that trucks in the lot are clean and ready to rent to our customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Arrange, park, log and organize all new vehicles that come to the lot
  • Ensuring trucks are clean and presentable for next rental customers
  • Ensure the lot is organized, clean and free from trash, litter, and debris
  • Move trucks between lots and to service appointments
  • Track inventory as trucks go on rent
  • Complete vehicle detailing in a timely manner, meeting service schedule deadlines set by the Shop Manager
  • Guaranteeing dealership license plate frames are affixed to vehicles
  • Overseeing and maintaining keys
  • Work directly with Shop Manager to oversee organization and efficient operation of lot
  • Prioritize safety, quality, and customer service
  • Escalate judgement calls to Shop Manager
  • Complying with all company policies and procedures
  • Maintain and manage an inventory list of cleaning items
  • Perform miscellaneous job or other related duties as assigned

Qualifications / Skills

  • Have valid driver’s license
  • Must have no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years and no DUI record
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and use a tablet, basic computer proficiency
  • Flexible and adaptable with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong team player
  • Capacity to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
  • Must be able to reach, stretch, bend, sit or stand for long periods at a time
  • Education and / or Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1-2 years of commercial or mobile detailing experience
  • Proficient with driving manual and automatic transmission vehicles
  • Attending an automotive or electrical technical school (preferred)
