A New York City healthcare organization is currently seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their growing team on Staten Island on a Part-time basis. In this role, the Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing medical oversight for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities residing in the residences, as well as necessary training for staff.

Responsibilities :
The Registered Nurse (RN) will :
Coordinate annual and routine medical services
Supervise AMAP staff in aspects of medication administration and documentation
Serve as a liaison to both the families and the residential staff regarding their medical concerns regarding individual residents
Complete all written reports and documentation on a timely basis so that all agency, State and Federal regulations are maintained residential compliance
Maintain confidentiality on a need to know basis regarding Healthcare concerns and diagnosis of the individuals served
Report all incidents, including allegations of abuse and neglect and serious reportable incidents, to management immediately upon discovery
Advocate appropriately and professionally on behalf of all individuals
Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications :
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
Required Skills :
1+ year of Nursing experience
1+ year experience working with OPWDD population
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Experience working with individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities
