Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - PCU

Job Details : \n

  • Work 36 hours per week with every other weekend requirement

    • \n

  • Patient ratios of 4 : 1 during days and 5 : 1 during nights

    • \n

  • Work in a 25-bed observation unit on the 1st floor

    • \n

  • Float to other units on a rotating system to meet hospital needs

    • \n

  • Triage acute care patients and identify life-threatening rhythms

    • \n

  • Perform glucose monitoring, Foley insertion, dressing changes, EKGs, and peritoneal dialysis

    • \n

  • Work with Alaris Pumps, tele-tracking, Imobile Communication, B450 Monitors, and Pyxis equipment

    • \n

  • Document using Meditech system

    • \n

  • Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIH, and EKG rhythm certification

    • \n

  • Neuro and cardiac experience preferred

    • \n

  • Dress code requires black scrubs and closed-toe shoes (no crocs)

    • \n

  • Work in a fast-paced, energetic, and friendly environment

    • \n

  • Unit staffing includes 1 CNC, 6-7 RNs, 2 techs, and 1 unit secretary
