About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN)

Experience : 2 years recent Med Surg Rehab experience required; Charge RN experience required; Previous travel experience (at least 3 months) required

License : State license required

Certifications : ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA) required

Must-Have : BSN preferred; must float between Acute Rehab and Med Surg; must have own vehicle

Description :

Please do not upload a candidate who would like to work in conjunction with another permanent placement or travel assignment.

Do not upload a candidate who is going to request scheduling accommodations.

Candidate may be asked to work as a backup Charge Nurse.

Coordinates total nursing care for patients.

Participates in patient and family teaching.

Provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.

Electronic Medical Record (EMR) is Cerner.

Nurse to patient ratio is 1 to 4 / 5.

Average daily patient census is 22.

Requested time off during the course of this assignment must be noted and verified at upload.

Requests for time off after upload will not be approved.

No more than 5 days of time off will be accepted; less is better.

For holiday coverage, travelers are required to work two of the following :

Thanksgiving and the following Friday / weekend.

Christmas Eve / Christmas Day and the following Friday / weekend.

New Year's Eve / New Year's Day and the following Friday / weekend.

Extensions that are requested to end in November or before the holiday starts in December will not be considered for an extension.

This is a small community without public transportation.

Candidate must have their own vehicle; this is a firm requirement.

Permanent address must be included in the profile.

All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission.

The facility will not approve scheduling requests at or after the time of offer.

Each call-off must be communicated to the unit supervisor at least 1.5 hours in advance.

After three call-offs, a traveler's contract will be eligible for termination due to lack of attendance.
