Senior Accountant Opportunity

We are looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at a government contractor in northern Virginia. Responsibilities :

• Oversee and execute month-end close procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all accounts are balanced and discrepancies are resolved.
• Prepare and post journal entries in compliance with accounting standards.
• Perform detailed account reconciliations and resolve any variances efficiently.
• Conduct bank reconciliations to verify accuracy and completeness of financial transactions.
• Apply knowledge of ASC 606 to ensure revenue recognition complies with regulatory guidelines.
• Manage accounting processes related to federal government contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
