As a Medical Assistant, you will be working directly with our patients and families after check-in. You will get a chance to help shape many lives by providing care to our patients. A career with Banner is great if you are just starting out or have many years' experience.
The duties include rooming patients, monitoring schedule, injections, calling patients with results or other needs, intake of vitals, heavy admin duties as assigned, work with provider in procedures and procedure set ups. Work as a team with all back office members. MA will also need to complete referrals, prior authorizations, and assist in obtaining patient medical records.

Minimum Qualification : MA Diploma (Accredited MA School) BLS Provider (In Person, Banner Approved)
Preferred Qualification : MA National Certification from AAMA, AMT, NCCT or NHA.
Shift : Monday Thursday 7 : 30am-4 : 30 Friday 7 : 30am-2 : 00pm w / 30 min lunches
Primary location will be 1125 S. Alma School Rd Suite 310. However, training will occur at 6424 E. Broadway Rd. Ste 105, Mesa AZ 85206.

This position is responsible for assisting clinicians and nursing staff in providing medical care, as well as, implementing and evaluating direct patient care. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment and skills to provide an excellent patient experience.
Core functions include preparing patients for exams and treatment, assisting providers with exams and minor in-office procedures, coordinating and managing patient care, providing clerical support, maintaining a clean environment, ordering supplies, developing communication mechanisms, and completing necessary on-boarding / orientation activities.
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma / GED or equivalent working knowledge, completion of an approved medical assistant training program, active medical assistant certification, BLS certification, and strong computer skills.
Preferred qualifications include experience with office medical procedures, knowledge of insurance, managed care operations, EMR and scheduling software, and additional related education and / or experience.
