Packaging Line Equipment Technician

A day in this role
You’ll arrive ready to own a full production run from start to finish—setting up the line to spec, dialing in parameters per SOPs for the product, monitoring quality, documenting results, and closing the shift with a safe, clean shutdown. Between batches, you’ll help reposition equipment, move materials with a forklift or pallet jack, and keep the area organized using 6S practices. It’s hands-on, safety-first work that keeps product flowing and standards high.
What you’ll do
- Set up, operate, and shut down production lines per standard operating procedures and daily schedules.
- Consistently turn out quality product that meets specifications and labor targets, safely and efficiently.
- Complete Good Documentation Practices (GDP) for quality checks and required records, accurately and on time.
- Maintain clean, orderly work areas using 6S lean methods.
- Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, barrel handlers).
- Spot and suggest improvements to safety, ergonomics, and process efficiency.
- Support warehouse organization and inventory control using RF scanners and counts.
- Follow all safety and environmental health requirements; use required PPE for all materials handled.
- Label and palletize finished goods to standardized pallet patterns.
- Assist with line changeovers and relocating production equipment between lines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

1st Shift : 6 : 00 AM – 6 : 00 PM (Mon–Wed); 6 : 00 AM – 11 : 30 AM (Thu) — $21.00 / hour2nd Shift : 6 : 00 PM – 6 : 00 AM (Mon–Wed); 6 : 00 PM – 11 : 30 PM (Thu) — $21.50 / hourWhat you bring
Stamina for 12-hour shifts, 3.5 days per week, with overtime as needed on Thursdays and / or Fridays.Dependable attendance and punctuality for scheduled days and shift times.Ability to work productively with minimal supervision.Team-oriented mindset and clear communication.Ability to speak, read, and write legibly in English.High school diploma, GED, or applicable manufacturing experience.Preferred : At least 6 months operating packaging machinery, ideally in food or feed manufacturing.
