Responsibilities Work in a mixed ICU setting at a level 3 trauma center with 18 beds Medical patient population is prioritized, but cases may include surgical, neuro, and CV ICU patients Patient ratios range from 1 : 2 to 1 : 3 based on acuity Common cases include DKA, multisystem failure, sepsis, ARDs, open abdomen surgeries, thoracotomies, CVA, and post-op CV procedures Travelers do not care for CRRT, impella, balloon pumps, or ECMO Charting is done in EPIC; experience with BD Alaris IV Pumps and Pyxis is required Night shift, 12-hour shifts, with every other weekend rotation Shifts will be clustered together when possible Floating may be required to Respiratory Unit, Surgical, Tele, PCU, or ED as Helping Hands Professional scrubs of any color are allowed Team members are expected to participate in every other weekend rotation Orientation to unit provided on start References from a Charge Nurse, Manager, or Director are required for consideration COVID and PNA cases may be present in patient assignments First-time travelers may apply, but travel experience is preferred Requirements Active WA or compact state RN license Minimum of 2 years recent ICU experience Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications Strong skills in cardiac rhythm interpretation, medication titration, proning, hypothermia protocol, chest tubes, drains, and invasive line monitoring (a-lines, CVP) Travel RN experience strongly preferred Medical ICU experience is preferred over cardiovascular or surgical ICU Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-618270.
