Job Summary The Phlebotomist is responsible for collecting venous and capillary blood specimens from patients in a safe and accurate manner according to established lab policies and practices. Demonstrates H3W behaviors with a focus on exceptional patient experience and quality outcomes. Education : High School graduate or equivalent

• Experience :
• Experience or training which will support minimum on-the-job training to perform the required duties. Keyboarding / data entry experience. One (1) year relevant work experience preferred.
• Licensure, Certification, Registration :
• National Certification (NCCT or ASCP) or equivalent preferred. Language Skills : Effective communication in English language both written and verbal. Secondary language preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements
• Knowledge of venipuncture techniques
• Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude
• Good keyboarding skills with ability to learn various laboratory application and HHC computer systems
• Continuous improvement mindset
• Ability to handle different patient population including pediatric and geriatric
• Strong trouble shooting and problem solving skills
