Senior Software Engineer, Android DevTools

San Diego, CA

As a Senior Software Engineer, you have hands-on technical expertise, ingenuity, and excellent communication skills. You will use your understanding of game development, Android, and the family of Developer Tools it provides to ensure excellent software is produced.

You will leverage, contribute and educate users on how to interact with these tools, offering best practices, setup assistance, and expert advice.

Responsibilities

• Advanced proficiency in current and future Android Developer Tools related to the spectrum of phases found in game development : debugging, packaging and performance analysis.
• Keep working knowledge of how major middleware engines integrate with Android Developer Tools, identifying any shortcoming, and driving for the best setup or adoption.
• Maintaining and evolving a list of best practices as uncovered by use of the Android Developer Tools
• Identify performance bottlenecks and craft solutions to improve customer delight.

Regarding compensation and benefits : The base pay range for this role will be disclosed during the hiring process and may vary based on location and individual factors. This role is eligible for SIE's benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, matching 401(k), paid time off, wellness program and employee discounts for Sony products. $177,300 — $265,900 USD
