We are looking for an experienced Applications Architect to join our team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in database administration, system design, and software integration. As part of a long-term contract, you will play a key role in managing database infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, and supporting technology projects.

Responsibilities :

• Oversee the administration and maintenance of database infrastructure, including capacity planning and server management.
• Diagnose and resolve database issues, recommending and implementing effective solutions.
• Monitor database performance across development, testing, and production environments to align with service level expectations.
• Perform database backup and recovery operations to ensure data security and reliability.
• Carry out database performance tuning and indexing to enhance system efficiency.
• Collaborate on technology projects, coordinating implementation and ensuring seamless integration.
• Enforce database operation policies, procedures, and security protocols.
• Share technical expertise with team members, assisting in data management operations like extraction, transformation, and replication.
• Evaluate database software products and recommend improvements.
• Support Oracle PeopleSoft systems, contributing to system changes and upgrades.
• Extensive knowledge of database administration practices, security procedures, and system integration.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting network operating domains, relational databases, and both web-based and Windows-based applications.
• Expertise in relational database design, Windows applications, and database performance tuning.
• Skilled in installing, maintaining, and upgrading applications such as Oracle PeopleSoft.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and demands effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Relevant certifications in Cisco or Oracle are highly desirable.
