ABOUT THE JOB
The Supply Chain Supervisor oversees raw material planning, scheduling, and inventory control activities to support production and operational efficiency. This position ensures the availability of materials, maintains inventory accuracy, and supports cost control efforts. The role is also responsible for supervising a small team while fostering a high-performance culture aligned with GSF’s values.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Supervise and develop assigned staff, including assigning work, providing training, evaluating performance, and supporting career development and engagement. Assist in recruitment and selection. (20%)
Plan and release all bulk liquid requirements to support the daily production schedule. Monitor inventory levels to ensure material availability and cost efficiency. (25%)
Audit operational processes and implement improvements in product procurement, inventory accuracy, and storage efficiency to increase productivity. (20%)
Manage finished goods, raw materials, and ingredient inventories to ensure accuracy, proper rotation, and efficient storage and movement. (15%)
Communicate and coordinate with vendors to resolve issues related to raw materials, packaging, or freight. (10%)
Generate, monitor, and reconcile labor and yield reports to provide management with accurate operational data. (10%)
Perform other related and assigned duties as necessary.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Education / Certification :
Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing, Logistics Management, or related field from an accredited college or university.
Knowledge (Level) :
Order processing – Expert
Warehouse concepts and techniques – Expert
Inventory control systems and PC software (Word / Excel) – Journey
Customer service, computerized inventory, and internal systems – Journey
Manufacturing, purchasing, and math / analytical skills – Basic
Skills & Abilities :
Lead and motivate employees in a team-based environment
Identify and resolve operational or supply chain issues
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors
Travel by airplane and automobile as needed
Demonstrate professionalism and act in accordance with GSF’s Values and Creed
LEADERSHIP / SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
Directly supervises approximately 4–6 hourly or salaried employees.
