What You'll Get to Do
The Material Handler-IG (Production Worker) is focused on the safe handling of glass and various other products related to the glass industry and moving it through the facility and reports to the IG Supervisor
This role is perfect for an individual who is safety conscious & self-motivated, flexible with shift start and end time, and able to work in the climate conditions of the region . A vital member of the IG Department , this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.
Job responsibilities include :
- Follow all safety procedures / protocols, to include wearing all PPE, ensuring a safe work environment.
- Accurately measuring and inspecting glass to ensure customer receives a quality product.
- Safely transporting glass through the facility.
- Capable of working while standing and lift up to 75lbs, repeatedly, on a regular basis
- Safely operate dollies, cranes, pallet jacks, glass cutters and other various equipment
- Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages
- Inspect product for any abnormalities and defects to notify supervisors
- Perform other assignments as required by management
- Able to work overtime when needed.
- Pay starts at $18 / hour
