We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team! You will be responsible for delivering high quality care to assigned patients.

​Responsibilities :

• Providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will support the doctor and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.
• Interview patients and document basic medical history
• Take vitals (height, weight, blood pressure) on patients age 0 - 18 years.
• Administer vaccines
• Take fingerstick blood tests
• Organize and schedule appointments
• Assist during medical examinations
• Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
• Prepare and clean treatment rooms
• Skills
• Proven working experience as a medical assistant.
• Vaccine administration.
• Venipuncture and fingersticks.
• Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Social perceptiveness and service oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organisational and planning skills
• Proficiency in patient management software
• Degree in medical assistance
• Job Type : Part-time

Pay : $19.00 - $20.00 per hour

Day shift

Rockville Centre, NY 11570 : Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience :

EMR systems : 1 year (Preferred)

Vital signs : 1 year (Preferred)

Pediatrics : 1 year (Preferred)

License / Certification :

BLS Certification (Preferred)

Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)

Work Location : In person

Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields

Familiarity with medical tools and equipment

Ability to build rapport with patients

Compassionate and caring demeanor

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
