We are looking for a skilled Cost Accountant to join our team in Portland, Oregon, on a contract to permanent basis. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing and analyzing manufacturing costs, ensuring accuracy in cost accounting processes, and contributing to process improvements. This is a fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual with experience in inventory management and cost analysis to make an impact in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities :

Oversee and validate new costs associated with manufacturing processes.

Analyze and monitor standard cost performance and identify variances such as PPV (Purchase Price Variance).

Collaborate with various departments to route cost changes effectively and ensure proper communication.

Conduct thorough reviews of resources to confirm cost accuracy, including assessing freight inclusions.

Maintain and reconcile inventory records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal standards.

Utilize Excel to perform data analysis and reporting.

Requirements :

Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment.

Strong understanding of standard cost accounting principles and practices.

Proficiency in inventory accounting and reconciliation processes.

Experience with Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions like pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, and power queries.

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.

Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and solve problems proactively.

Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team environment.
