About The Position

Job Title : Medical Technologist

Profession : Medical Technologist

Specialty : Med Surg

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 21 : 30 - 08 : 00

Hours per Shift : 8 hours

Experience : Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience required. Recent experience of 5 years as a Medical Technologist preferred.

License : ASCP Certification as a Medical Technologist required.

Certifications : BLS Certification required, must be through the American Heart Association.

Must-Have :

• Experience in blood bank, MTS gel, and tube methods.
• Experience with Beckman Coulter hematology, including models 520 and 690.
• Proficiency in manual differential, body fluid cell count, and differential procedures.
• Familiarity with Werfen Top coagulation instrumentation and urine microscopic procedures.

Description :

The Medical Technologist demonstrates critical thinking skills, judgment, and leadership in the practice of laboratory technology.

The Medical Technologist is responsible and accountable for the efficient planning, directing, and accurate provision of all laboratory testing in their assigned area of licensure.

The Medical Technologist practices in accordance with laboratory policies, procedures, regulatory standards, recognized testing techniques, and administrative policies.
