As a Senior Sales Engineer will have the unique role of leveraging their engineering skills to solve individual customer problems. You will work alongside Account Executives, Customer Success Managers, Technical Delivery Managers, and Forward Deployed Engineers to solve customer challenges and enhance their mission outcomes. You’ll regularly engage with the customer in both pre and post sales capacities, to scope and prototype the solution, lead the implementation / deployment, and address obstacles that might hinder a customer from being successful with our product. Using your ability to detect problems before they happen, and size-up new technical concepts quickly, you enable customers to understand and experience the value of the product.

Role Responsibilities - How You Will Make an Impact

  • Enable customers to see the art of the possible by relating Primer’s technical capabilities to mission outcomes.
  • Represent the technical voice of the customer within your account team to develop strategies that enhance mission outcomes for our customers.
  • Support the ideation and implementation of solutions and feature sets for the customers while partnering with product and engineering to develop and deliver.
  • Partner with product and engineering at Primer to identify and prioritize new features and algorithmic development based on customer engagement and feedback.

Relevant Skills and Experience

  • BS or MS in computer science, engineering, or other quantitative field or relevant experience.
  • 5-7+ years of professional experience in the areas of developing and deploying enterprise software solutions, solutions architecture, and customer implementation.
  • Ability to communicate technically complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to establish conceptual connections between customer requirements, mission outcomes, and technical solutions.
  • Experience working with Singaporean Government agencies.
  • Experience with the major cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, GCE.
  • Experience with Docker and Elastic.
  • Understanding of clustering, named-entity recognition (NER), and LLMs.
  • Bonus Points :

  • Familiarity with container and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with machine learning techniques
  • Experience with natural language processing (NLP)
  • Full-stack development skills (including front-end)
  • Strong understanding of public sector procurement processes
  • The annual cash compensation range for this sales position is US $160,000 to US $220,000 (base + variable). Final compensation will be determined based on experience and skills and may vary from the range listed above.

    Primer works closely with the U.S. defense and intelligence establishment.
