Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2+ years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Travel Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Johnson City, NY

Assignment : 13 Weeks

Schedule : MondayFriday, 40 hours / week

Shifts : Typically start between 6 : 00 AM and 7 : 00 AM either 5x8s or 4x10s

Call : Up to 3 shifts per week, ranging from 8 to 16 hours

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking an experienced Travel CST to join a respected surgical services team in Johnson City, NY. This role focuses on cardiothoracic procedures, offering the chance to work on complex and rewarding cases while collaborating with top-tier surgeons and OR staff.

Your Role on the Team :

Prepare the operating room with specialized cardiothoracic instruments, supplies, and equipment for procedures such as CABG, valve replacements, VATS, and robotic chest surgeries

Scrub in and directly assist surgeons during high-acuity cardiothoracic operations

Maintain the sterile field, anticipate surgical team needs, and respond quickly in critical moments

Operate and handle surgical instruments, robotics, and technology with precision and accountability

Monitor and ensure the proper functioning of equipment before and during procedures

Follow strict infection control, sterilization, and patient safety protocols

Assist in rapid room turnover between cases, ensuring readiness for the next procedure

Participate in on-call shifts to support urgent or emergency surgical cases

Requirements :

NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential

Current BLS certification

Previous cardiothoracic surgery experience is required

Strong ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environment
