Engineering and Facilities - HVAC Tech 3   Reports to :

  • Engineering / Facilities Manager Classification : Non-exempt   Full Time / Year Round Education and / or Experience   3-5 years in advanced HVAC maintenance High School diploma or GED required.    Driver’s License, in good standing, required.    Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations   Proven experience in HVAC maintenance and repair.
  • Strong knowledge in commercial building mechanical and building control systems Including boilers, chillers, pumps, motors, & electrical.
  • Ability to stay on task with limited supervision.   Ability to troubleshoot and repair commercial kitchen equipment including ovens, grills, small appliances, walk in coolers, ETC.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, & wiring diagrams.
  • Strong knowledge of and ability to use hand and power tools including, multimeter, and advanced refrigerant tools.   Ability to comprehend and learn tasks associated with resort operations.   Ability to learn in depth knowledge of specific resort & building equipment including boilers, BAS systems, chillers, Geothermal, ETC.
  • Strong knowledge in propane or natural gas fired equipment.
  • Or RMGA certification.

Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations.   Strong willingness to work with others provide training and guidance to junior technicians and promote a safe and positive work environment.   Job Summary   As an Engineering and Facilities HVAC Tech 3 you will be tasked with the maintenance and upkeep of the WPR Buildings mechanical equipment :

  • boilers, chillers, heating and cooling equipment, pumps, motors, control valves, building control systems, and all aspects of commercial kitchens.
  • Assist with coordination of outside contractors for major repairs or renovations.
  • Duties will be varied throughout the day as situations arise.
  • There will be an emphasis on preventive maintenance and safety.
  • Duties will also include assisting with various Engineering and Facilities tasks and work orders.  Snow removal with vehicle mounted plow equipment, snow blowers and snow shovels is a requirement in the winter months.     Job Tasks / Duties   Work in a safe, positive and productive manner.
  • Emphasis on promoting safety including procedures, PPE, and all other aspects of safety in day-to-day operations.   Assist manager with task lists, work order fulfillment and team scheduling.   Pleasantly greet, make eye contact, listen, and respond appropriately to every member’s or members guest’s needs and or questions.   Operate vehicles and equipment in a safe and responsible manner.   Abide by all rules of the road and safe speed for conditions.   Maintain a safe and clean work area.   Abides by and implements all required compliance requirements regarding refrigerant, Osha, and EPA requirements.
  • Implement and ensures that all equipment receives visual pre-operation check list inspection as directed by the supervisor or management rep.
  • Performs and implements advanced preventive maintenance on building equipment as directed and reports equipment issues to manager.
  • Follow and perform all company and departmental policies and procedures     i.e., punctuality, attendance, dress, and grooming standards, etc.   Attends staff meetings and pre shift safety meetings.
  • Assist members, guests, and coworkers to enjoy their time at WPR.   Performs other appropriate tasks as assigned.   Summer Duties TBD   Licenses and Special Requirements :

  • Valid driver’s license.   Universal EPA 608 certification Willingness and ability to work a varied schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.   Ability to provide own hand tools.
  • Ability to ski or snowboard.
  • Hands on experience with or ability to learn computer software systems including but not limited to MS365, Coast Work Order, Building Automation Systems.
  • Physical Demands and Work Environment   Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.     Regularly exposed to wet / snowy and / or cold conditions.   Work a modified schedule during equipment failures and or snow removal if needed.   Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment which is typical of this position.   Frequent lifting, bending, stooping and movement.    Frequent repetitive motions.   Continuous sitting, standing, and walking.   Ability to work with required PPE, respirators, dust masks, safety glasses etc.
