JOB DESCRIPTION
The Ambulatory LPN in the Sleep Clinic provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or provider. This role supports the interdisciplinary team in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care focused on sleep health and related conditions. The LPN assists in clinical procedures, patient education, and care coordination to optimize outcomes for patients with sleep disorders. Key Responsibilities Clinical Care Perform routine nursing tasks such as vital signs, medication administration, and documentation of patient symptoms and progress. Assist with sleep study preparation, including patient intake, equipment setup, and post-study follow-up. Monitor patients during ambulatory sleep assessments and escalate concerns to supervising RN or provider. Support IV insertion and maintenance when required for sleep-related diagnostics or treatments 1. Document nursing interventions and patient responses in the EMR system to ensure continuity of care 1. Patient Education & Support Reinforce sleep hygiene education and treatment plans as directed by the provider. Use teach-back methods to ensure patient and family understanding of sleep disorder management. Provide culturally sensitive and age-appropriate care tailored to individual patient needs
