Position Overview :

The firm is seeking a motivated Insurance Defense Associate Attorney to join its growing litigation team. The ideal candidate will have experience or a strong interest in insurance defense and civil litigation. This role offers the opportunity to manage cases from inception through resolution, work closely with experienced trial attorneys, and gain hands-on courtroom experience.

Key Responsibilities :

Handle a caseload of insurance defense matters, including general liability, personal injury, property damage, and commercial litigation claims.

Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and correspondence.

Represent clients at court hearings, depositions, mediations, and settlement conferences.

Develop and execute effective defense strategies.

Communicate regularly with clients, experts, and senior attorneys.

Stay up to date on California laws, court procedures, and industry trends relevant to insurance defense.

Qualifications :

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Active member of the California State Bar (required).

2-5 years of experience in insurance defense or related civil litigation.

Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Capable of handling multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Team-oriented with a commitment to professional growth.
