About the Opportunity

Star Fleet Mechanics keeps delivery fleets moving across the Bay Area. This isn't a shop role—you'll be out in the field, diagnosing and repairing vehicles where they operate. This is a full-time overnight position with weekday and weekend shifts available. Typical hours run Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 PM – 4 : 30 AM or 9 : 30 PM – 5 : 30 AM, with weekend rotations (Friday–Sunday or Saturday–Sunday) and opportunities for overtime. We're hiring an experienced Master Mechanic to take on complex diagnostic and repair work across gasoline and diesel fleet vehicles. The right person for this role has deep hands-on experience, especially in electrical and diagnostic systems, and can lead field repairs with little to no supervision.

About the Role

You'll be the go-to expert for advanced repairs, electrical diagnostics, and troubleshooting. This position is ideal for a seasoned technician who can think independently, manage time efficiently in the field, and serve as a technical mentor for mid-level techs.

What You'll Do

• Perform advanced diagnostics and complex repairs on gasoline and diesel fleet vehicles
• Lead troubleshooting of electrical systems, including wiring, sensors, and onboard computer diagnostics
• Conduct full vehicle inspections and identify root causes of failures
• Repair and maintain engines, drivetrains, brakes, suspension, and fuel systems
• Work independently in the field and ensure safety and quality standards are met
• Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced technicians
