We are seeking a caring and energetic Early Childhood Assistant to join our team for afternoon shifts. The ideal candidate will support lead educators in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children. This position is perfect for someone passionate about early childhood development and looking to make a positive impact in a part-time role.
Assist educators with implementing age-appropriate activities and routines
Supervise children to ensure a safe and inclusive environment
Support children with transitions such as naptime, snack time, and pick-up
Help with classroom clean-up and organization at the end of the day
Maintain hygiene and assist with toileting and diapering as needed
Foster positive relationships with children, families, and staff
Follow center policies and licensing regulations
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience working with young children preferred
Early Childhood Education (ECE) certification or working towards it is an asset
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Clear background check and health screening
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Active, hands-on work with young children
Indoor and outdoor supervision
Lifting, bending, and floor-level activities required
Supportive and collaborative work environment
