Provider would not be covering any clinic hours, or elective procedures. However, if the vacating physician has a handful (5 or fewer) post-operative patients in-house, it may be required that the locum provider round on, and discharge patients as appropriate. Support from hospitalists and an intensivist would also be available.

Every effort will be made to transfer patients to other services as appropriate, so that this assignment would be call only.
