Director of Planning & Operations
QUAD is seeking a Director of Planning & Operations for a food manufacturer located in New Brunswick, NJ .
- FOOD CPG INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED
The Director of Planning & Operations will be responsible for leading the transformation of the organization’s production planning, inventory management, and logistics strategy. The Director will utilize enterprise systems and advanced analytics to improve manufacturing efficiency, enhance profitability, and strengthen collaboration across operations, finance, and supply chain functions.
Responsibilities :
Partner with the VP of Manufacturing to define production parameters, capacity models, and scheduling processesDevelop and implement production schedules that maximize utilization while balancing inventory, service levels, and efficiencyCreate analytical models to assess manufacturing constraints, lead times, and cost driversTrack and improve performance through capacity utilization, efficiency, and schedule adherence metricsUse ERP, MRP, and WMS data to generate actionable insights through advanced analytics (SQL, Python, R)Build predictive models and scenario analyses for capacity planning and inventory optimizationDesign dashboards and performance reports to support continuous improvement and executive decision-makingPartner with finance, sales, and supply chain teams to strengthen demand planning accuracyOptimize inventory strategies across raw materials, WIP, and finished goodsBalance supply chain efficiency and service levels through data-driven planningMonitor key metrics (Turns, OTIF, Fill Rate) and lead initiatives for ongoing improvementLead and develop a small team including a Supply / Demand Planner and Supply Chain SpecialistCollaborate closely with manufacturing, procurement, R&D, quality, and IT teamsFoster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellenceSkills / Competencies :
Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related discipline5+ years operations / production planning or supply chain analytics experience in the Food CPG industryDemonstrated experience with enterprise systems implementationAdvanced Python, SQL, etc. proficiencyHighly skilled in predictive modeling, statistical analysis, and forecasting methodologiesAdvanced Excel, Tableau, and data extractions tools proficiencyStrong communication skillsAdditional Details :
Employment Type : Direct Hire
Salary : $150k
The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, location and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
