HEALTH CARE TECHNICIAN (MAIE ELLIS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL)

Under general supervision of the District nurse and administration to provide a variety of specialized health care services for students who are health impaired and / or have specialized health care needs to administer first aid to students and staff members; to maintain health service information and records; and to do related work as required.

DETAILS FOR THIS POSITION :

• LENGTH OF WORK YEAR : Student Year Calendar
• WORK SCHEDULE : 3.92 hours / day, 5 days / week, Monday - Friday, 11 : 05 a.m. - 3 : 00 p.m.
• REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLYING : Experience working with children in a health education setting; equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade, preferably supplemented by courses in child health, first aid, or related field; or any combination of training and / or experience that could likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities. Willing to take additional training to treat specific medical conditions to permit students to effectively participate in instruction.
• REQUIRED LICENSE / CERTIFICATE : Current First Aid / CPR Certificate, possession of a valid California Driver's License.
