Medical Assistant / LPN

Purpose of Job

This position is responsible for performing a variety of patient care activities to assist providers and nursing personnel. Facilitates patient / physician / provider communication and coordination of care.

Job Functions

• Escorts patients to examination room and obtains vitals and documents in EMR.
• Administers prescribed medications / vaccines and treatments in accordance with clinic policies and scope of certification / licensure.
• Prepares equipment and assists providers during examination, testing and treatment of patients.
• Performs room turn over in patient rooms between cases and at the end of day.
• Assists in maintaining stocked supplies and sterilizes instruments / exam rooms.
• Assists in arranging referrals / prior authorizations as necessary.
• Assists with patient education.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation such as : the requirements of the position, experience, education, knowledge, and skills along with location and internal equity. Pay listed does not include any shift, weekend, or other differentials.
