Financial Services Team Supervisor
Support the Financial Services Team in the areas of general accounting including accounting processes, internal controls / audits, reconciliations, analysis, and payroll oversight. Supervise direct reports, including but not limited to personnel management, training, and development. Monitors, analyzes, and reconciles various general ledger accounts monthly. Prepares and performs review of Workpapers for external audits. Conduct bi-weekly payroll audits and ensure accuracy of payroll accounting. Work closely with the Navigators worldwide partnership by providing support in the areas of financial grants, budgeting, and annual expense reporting. Assist in testing, maintaining, and monitoring accounting and financial systems, and data integrity on a regular basis. Ensures regulatory compliance and adequate internal controls. Research and stay up to date with payroll compliance requirements. Submit personal and approve employee expense reports according to policy guidelines. Master's degree in accounting or finance and (2) years of experience in accounting required or Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and 5 years of experience in accounting. CPA License required. Skills from experience or education : Review and Approve 941 and W-2 Filings, Reviews preparation and distribution of forms 1099-MISC, Facilitate department budget to include forecasting and variance analysis, Prepares annual IRS Tax Forms 990 and Return of Organization Exempt from income tax and supporting schedules, Reconciles general ledger accounts, Coordinate annual financial audit with external accounting firm, Proficient in Microsoft Office, Salesforce CRM, and Workday ERP Any suitable combination of education, training, and / or experience is acceptable.
